My husband and I are in school, and we also homeschool our son, so textbooks are a major expense for us. If you are in college, or have children going off to school, you can really save a lot of money by NOT purchasing your textbooks from a school bookstore. By having access to the Internet, you have the advantage of being able to shop around. We have purchased both new and used textbooks from eBay, Amazon, Wal-Mart, and Alibris, and have saved a bundle over the prices that college bookstores charge. The best way to shop around is to get the ISBN number of the textbooks that you need, but you can also search by title, just make sure you get the correct edition. Used textbooks are another way to save money, and you can often resell your textbooks when you are done with them and get a few bucks back.
