Easter Basket Gift Ideas

We all love chocolate and treats, but the children really don’t need massive baskets of candy every few months. Between Valentine’s Day, Easter, Halloween, Christmas, and the numerous children’s birthday parties throughout the year, it seems like we always have crazy amounts of candy lying about. We like to fill our children’s baskets with a variety of fun and useful gifts and they really appreciate them, particularly as they get older.

These are some of my favorites:

Books
You would be surprised how much children enjoy receiving books as gifts. This is a wonderful way to encourage your children to read and appreciate the value of a great book. This is also an opportunity to give them books, which remind them of the true meaning of Easter.

Easter Bears
Vermont Teddy bear has the cutest Easter Bears, Easter Bunnies, and even an Easter Cow that make perfect gifts for every member of your family.

Music
I think it is important to encourage the love of music in your children. The little ones will really enjoy music which they sing along or dance to. Older children appreciate receiving music from their favorite artists.

Movies
Movies are another great Easter idea. You can give them their favorite movies on DVD or tape, or offer Easter themed movies. This is another wonderful opportunity to teach your children about Easter.
