The most important thing that the Harry Potter books have done, is to get kids excited about reading. Children and teens wait impatiently for the next title to be released. I have not seen this type of interest in books by children in a long time.
We bought these books for our son and he would read them from start to finish, as soon as possible. Regardless of whether you and your family have seen the movies or not, I would highly recommend these books.
For kids who already have all the books, there are a number of fun Harry Potter toys, games, and movies to choose from!
